Tom's Story
Life
My Spouse
I met my wife Lynn at work in a store in Tuscaloosa Al in Oct. 1970. We were married in Feb. 1971. For those of you that still can't add, thats 4 months later. Our first and only child, Brian, came 5 years later. This noted just to remove the "Shot gun wedding theory". We traveled through out the South with my job at JCPENNEY.. we truly enjoy living in the Asheville area in the suburb town of Fletcher. We have four seasons and beautiful mountains surround us. Best of all our son Brian and his wife Laura live here as well. Their son Asher is wonderful as we watch him grow and change almost daily. What a joy Brian’s little family is to be with.
My Kid
Brian graduated from a local private college. He is married to a wonderful gal, Laura Pearson.
My Job
I retired as a store mgr. for JC Penney.
I now live in Fletcher NC just south of Asheville NC. In a great community called the...Expand for more

School
I have finish my BA in May of 2005...."its been the best ten years of my life." I don't know what happened to me. I really enjoy going to school. Man is that a switch from 1965. I miss the relationships I had in high school, but enjoyed classes with the younger group. They are very funny to watch and listen to. My plans are to never stop learning. Working yes. Learning no.
Military
I went into the Army in May of 1966 and then on to Vietnam in Nov. of 1966. I was a 50 cal. machine gunner on an armored personnel carrier for 4 months, and then the rest of the time was a driver. After a years tour with the 25th infantry/4th infantry Div. I came home and spent 6 months in Texas at Fort Hood. All-in-all a good experience, but wouldn't do it again.
Life is good
Turned 72 in October 2019, but feel like 40. I work out most days then come home for the honey do list.
