Tom's Story
OK, went in the Navy from H.S. Retired in 1989. Moved to Bakersfield and worked in Co-gen plants, Supervisor in LA of a Heating and Cooling district then taught Computers for a private company and Kern High School district for about 7 years went to school got degree in Pharmacy, work for target now in pharmacy. I have an AS in Pharmacy Technology and a BS in Medical Healthcare. Had a pistachio ranch for awhile. Like to play with trains and have a steam powered locomotive I like to drive when I have time. I have run it in Illinois, Iowa, and California so far. I have been married twice. first for four years-one daughter. She is in the Navy for 14 years now. 2nd marriage almost 30 years now and have 2 kids, Son in in the Army for about 2 years now and daughter is going to Cal State with art major and history minor. All three of my kids have turned out fantastic. youngest daughter is a fantastic artist and expect great things from her. Son, I worry about in the Army but he is doing great. He has visited his oldest sister in Okinawa in Feb 08. He will be going to Iraq within about three months. Can't say much about that. Oldest daughter is an independent duty corpsman in the Navy and stationed in Okinawa. she has two sons and is starting a divorce. Hope she continues for a doctorate in medicine. ks for Bank of America and in her bank she is the operation trainer making her 3rd senior in the branch. Very proud of her. Met her while I was stationed in Florida. Great Lady. Me laid back and enjoying life. Picture is on fat ol me on the 5th of July 2008 driving my train, those that know me know I like trains and camping, doing both this weekend. at Arroyo Grande by Pismo Beach. Good time. Can't see my other leg, just got out of Hospital after having a tumor removed, Dr. said it was the size of a newborn baby. Doing good but have a blood clot in right leg from groin to knee in my main vein. Have to take blood thinners until body decides to build new vein. God is good to me. The picture shows me and hobby. Son is in Baghdad, Iraq should be back in fall. Becky will graduate this year on her birthday. I will try to put up some art of hers in the photo section. She got first place this year in the via Arte street chalk drawing, third the year before. Tammy was just home for a couple of weeks. It was great seeing her and the G-kids.Going thru the Story wizard remided me of time just after HS and my wildest time. Was making love to my girlfriend on the stage at the Lodi festival grounds. Good memories, Great that they are in the past.
