Tom's Story
Life
My Job
I retired from teaching last May (2018), 30 years with Topeka Public Schools. I currently am just taking it easy, working around our house and yard, playing a little golf.
Family
Mary and I celebrated our 34th anniversary last summer. We live out in the country on 3 acres. No kids. We go to Topeka Bible Church, go for walks, take in movies, eat out occasionally.
My favorite way to relax is to watch KU football/basketball on TV.

My first job was at George Roberts barber shop, where I got paid 10 cents to sweep up the hair . What I remember most about it is I made 70 cents a week and got the old comic books when George bought new ones..
My hope is that old friends remember me as loyal and a good friend. I guess that if I could see any of my old teachers I would like to see Mrs. Stevenson, she was a GREAT teacher! Also, Mr. Nelson, the government teacher was a super teacher.
