Tom's Story
I'm an entertainer. I've been playing the guitar, piano and singing for 52 years as of February 10th 2016 (I started playing guitar the day after the Beatles were on The Ed Sullivan Show for the first time). I play Folk, Bluegrass, Country, Oldies But Goodies, Classic Rock, Blues, Jazz and Popular music from the 1800's to the present.
My day gig is performing in nursing homes, assisted living and retirement communities. I visit over 100 facilities playing up to 4 gigs a day. I have a genuine love for the elderly and totally enjoy spending the day entertaining my "old" friends.
Most nights I work solo at local fine dining restaurants, lounges and private parties playing Oldies But Goodies, Italian/American Favorites and Jazz Standards while other nights I might work with a band playing Blues, Country, Oldies and Classic Rock. When not actually gigging, I like to scout out open mics and jams to meet new musicians and singers. (Google "Tom Evan" just for the fun of it if you'd like!)

well speaking and understanding the language. I love the music and I'm adding more Spanish songs to my repertoire every day. I enjoy going to local Latin/American restaurants to enjoy the cuisine, the culture and the music.
As of this writing, October 2016, I have now added Italian to my list of recently learned foreign languages. I've been booking gigs in fine dining Italian restaurants singing Italian and Italian/American favorites mixed with some classic popular songs from our generation and from generations before.
I also enjoy bicycling, playing tennis, bowling, walking around Lake Eola or Cocoa Beach with my guitar meeting new people and surprising them by playing some of their favorite songs by memory.
In December of 2011 I married a wonderful woman that I met at one of the nursing homes where I perform. She is a nurse there, is from Jamaica and has a delightfully warm and happy way about her that I just could not resist. We have been very happily married for just over 5 years as of this writing and are virtually still on our honeymoon! Life is TERRIFIC!
