Tom's Story
Life
After Monterey I went to Tech for four years. Left Tech a few hours short of graduation and spent 3 years in the Army. After Basic and 33 weeks in Calibration Maintenance school at Aberdeen, MD, I spent the last two years of my enlistment as an assistant instructor at the Military Academy, West Point, NY.
Went back to Tech and finished in 71 with a degree in history. From there I moved to Dallas in October of 71 and worked for 18 months as a installation and repair technician for Mosler Safe Co installing and maintaining their drive in teller equipment.

So, I started a new career and a married life all at once.
After 8 years of working as a patrol officer in South Dallas and Oak Cliff, I left and went back to school. I got a BS in computer science and spent the next 17 years in software development in the telecommunications industry (Ericsson, NEC and Alcatel). In 2001, when the telecom bubble burst I spent the next five years in the construction industry. I have recently revived my project management skills working for a print distribution company in Plano, TX.
I have been married to the same person for the last 35 years. We have two grown children and two grandchildren, a 4 yr old granddaughter and a 1 year old grandson.
