Tommy's Story
For those that might care … I joined the U.S. Army right out of high school. I did my basic and advanced infantry training at Fort Benning, Georgia. Went directly from advanced infantry training to airborne school in Fort Benning, Georgia. First duty station was Fort Lewis, Washington with the 2nd 75th Ranger Battalion. I was injured in a jump when my parachute became twisted when exiting the plane. Transferred to regular infantry as my jumping days were done. Second duty station was in Germany. Left the army in 1986.

mmed around the states for about a year while living off the money I had saved while in the army. Since that wasn’t a lot of money I often slept in my car or parks. Occasionally I would stay in a motel.
Returning to California I attended school to become an accountant. On graduating I started work for a CPA (Certified Public Accounting) firm. I worked in accounting until July 2021 at which time I retired while working in Fairfield, California. Now, I do whatever I want on any given day. Though I do have some independent programming projects in mind.
So, that is where my life is currently. I am expecting many more adventures in the future.
