Toni's Story

Life Well the day after graduation, I went to the Army. That was definately a life experience. I got to travel all around Europe. Now i'm in collge, finally!!! And in two weeks i'm graduating w/a Bachelor of Science degree in Administration of Justice. Haven't gotten married yet, but hey everything comes in it' season. One thing i can honestly say is that life has definately had it's ups and downs, but by the grace of GOD I have been able to say.... I'm here and life is gonna be okay. I've been blessed. It's the little things that count. The simplest thing in life are the things that matter the most. I'm still trying to find the meaning of life. The one thing I've learned that Life is only what you make it. Leaving Uniontown was definately the best thing that could've ever happened to me. Everyone should try it. Most of all, try God...he works. Have a blessed life classmates. School High school was all about learning the basics to get you thru life. It was also about social status, sad to say, because it's all about the cliques to some people. Something like that can really damage a persons self-esteem. I was always an outgoing person while in High School and i had fun while i was there. I still keep in touch w/people and love it when i finally get to see how people have turned out in their lifetime. I wish everybody the best of luck in life and pray that whatever they choose to do, that they trust in the Lord to guide them. College College life...hmm??? Well the ongoing experience of life w/college clubs. I really enjoyed being part of the clubs that made a difference...like MSA(Minority Students Association). Outreaching to the campus and comm...Expand for more
unity about promoting diversity was the best. Other than being part of the THON experience. What i liked about THON was being part of history. Helping to make a difference in some persons life w/cancer was the most rewarding experience. Military My military experience was all part of growing up and learning to survive life. There are a few reasons why i joined the Military (Army). I was 17 when i graduated high school and my main goal was to GET OUT OF Uniontown and see the world. I accomplished that. I was only in the Army Reserve when i signed up, but i went Active Duty two months after AIT. The Army was a good thing for me. Especially being 18 when i went. I was stationed in Karlsrhue, Germany when i first got to Europe for the first six months. When the 18th Engineer Brigade was combined with the 130th Engineer Brigade we were transfered to Hanau, Germany. I enjoyed Brigade. It was better than Battalion. My best military memory was when a good friend of mine surprised me w/ my first traveling experience. It was a surprise trip to Paris for my 19th birthday. That was definately one of the best times i had over there. But the most memorable experience was when i fell asleep on the train on my way to Kaiserslautern and ended up in Strausburg, France with only five American dollars and no clue of what i learned in french class. I was stranded for a little while, but eventually i got back on that train and pretended to be sleep, so that if i did get kicked off the train again, at least i'd be in Germany. Everything worked out that time. But i'll never forgot how much fun i had traveling thru Europe. The military can work for you if you know how to work it.
