Tonia's Story
What have I been up to? Well, I moved to Atlanta, Georgia with my husband and our youngest son in the summer of 2006, to live closer to my sisters and to take a job with an awesome group of people as a project manager in the construction services division of a nationwide lighting distribution company (owned and operated by an amazing group of Christian men). My eldest son, T.J. is now 21, married, and is a Korean Linguist for the United States Air Force. My youngest son is a freshman in high school and is interested in being a video game artist and living in Japan someday.
My husband and I have a passion for helping to build homes for people who cannot afford to do it on their own. We have helped on a couple Habitat for Humanity projects so far and are looking forward to the next one. We are also looking...Expand for more
for an opportunity to build a home in Mexico as well.
I still enjoy Photography - especially nature; scrapbooking - to document our family history; walking/running - for fun and fitness; hiking in the Georgia mountains (short hikes ... not overnight sleeping in the dirt kind); bicycling; reading; writing - poetry, stories, and journaling; playing softball, volleyball, and bowling; dating my husband of 16 years; spending time with friends and family.
I enjoy having my family come from Michigan, Virginia, and North Carolina to visit, but continue to try to talk them all into moving to Atlanta. (My sister, Candy, moved here in 2006 and my youngest sister, Sarah, moved here in the winter of 2008.
