Tracee's Story
Life
My life started out being given up for adoption by my birth mother, Barbara Whited - Brown - Mills, and adopted by Don and Doris Cornforth in Oklahoma City, OK. Eventually, after years of trying to "find myself," I made it as a writer and couldn't ask for a better job. Along the way my beautiful daughter Julie was born in 1975, followed by a son in 1978 who I was forced to give up for adoption (happily reunited), and another son in 1987, Nathan -- my miracle child born after extensive surgery to allow my body to produce another baby. my first grandson Nicholas who is my soul child, and Nathan brought his first child and my second grandson Aiden into the world on April 1, 2006. I couldn't be any happier with the way my life has turned out.
Workplace
Since 1997 I have had the best job in the world as About.com's Women's Health Editor and Guide. I am also currently working on 2 books. The ten years previous I worked throughout the D/FW area as a courier. Being a courier was fun, but after putting too many miles on too many cars it was time for a change to my dream job of being a writer.
