Tracy's Story
Life - We moved to an acreage in 2009 (which is heavenly - despite the amount of work to keep it up). We have now lived in Alberta for 7 years and I can't see us returning to Ontario. I love the lack of humidity here and the long spring and summer days. The fact that we don't take snow tires off our vehicles until the end of April is something I can live with but Rob has a hard time with. It just means that we take more winter vacations... :)
Our boys are now 23, 15 and soon to be 11. I know our parents said it - but man are these kids ever different than we were. they sure have a different way of communicating with the world. My boys are great and all very busy. Robbie is on his own and working and we see him infrequently - unless I "text" him that I have been baking. Trevor is our resident jock with football and hockey being his chosen sports. He has been to camps with the Eskimos and has shared with us his desire to be a pro athlete. He will graduate Jr. High (Grade 9) this year and is already trying out for the football team in high school. He quit his pizza parlour job - it was not for him ... and he will be reffing Atom football this year. Michael is stil...Expand for more
l our frogbug boy. He is right into nature and has told me he wants to be an adventurer when he grows up - he is currently making plans on how to afford it (the RV bus, the camo jeep, the acreage etc). We have a pond on our property and Michael keeps busy landscaping it, catching things and adding fish. Michael is also right into football like his older brothers. This year we are going to head back down to a football camp in California with the boys. We love the area and they love the chance to show off Canadian football skills to their American counterparts.
I frequently take trips to the Mountains (either Jasper or Banff area) and do hiking and outdoor activities with friends. I really enjoyed snowshoeing up to the treeline in Lake Louise in March. And I thought Sherwood Park had a lot of snow.... !
I work in Occupational Health Nursing - primarily Disability Management, sing in my spare time, sit on various boards and love being a mom. I bake too much (and give it to our neighbours) and exercise (not enough).
