Tracy's Story

I didn't actually graduate in 89 with my class, I moved away shortly before senior year. I'm looking for Jimmy Hagen from the same class. Help me find him? *************************************** The ENTIRE story of my life?? Well - here goes. Read at your own risk. :D ___________ I had a daughter 'way' back when at 19, and my path went the single mother route. She just turned 18 this July - Alexandra has been the laughter and joy in my life for a very long time. About 5 years ago, I met my Fiancé James, and we were both surprised with a late in life second child - Madison. She is now 2 1/2 and a complete darling. She was recently diagnosed with Autism, and while that is a new challenge in our lives, she is still nothing but a joy to be with. In those ensuing yrs between the children, I worked my behind off being the best little 'secretary' I could be, until I was the most qualified Executive Assistant in my field - my last job was EA to the Vice President of an huge insurance company. I had left Kent for the Eastside -Redmond is where my heart calls home - and was really quite happy with my life. Then funny thing happened, all those years of high stress job, high stress single mother hood, high stress me not being very mentally stable (hell we all knew that even way back, no shame in it! *grin*) I hadn¿t been taking very good care of myself. And I had a heart attack. The odd thing was the heart attack wasn¿t the biggest issue - somehow having a heart attack outside of my company building, on this very sunny hot blue sky day triggered a phobia of the outdoors in me. Im still dealing with it. I ended up legally disabled due to agoraphobia -...Expand for more
a complete and disabling fear of the outdoors (and in large part people). While I have a reasonable handle on it now, it has been the defining hurdle in my life for the last few years. Its changed me physically, mentally, and of course socially. More things happened physically over time and 4 years ago I was told I have a minor brain tumor, causes lapses in memory, vision problems, and hormonal strangeness. So far they are simply on watch with it, its more a malignant gland than an actual tumor, but I never really know what to call it other than 'tumor' so that its understood - even by me. While IM not ashamed of my disability, it does keep me pretty isolated and poses many challenges, including keeping healthy. In the midst of that late in life challenge, I met James. He lived in Kent and when things got serious I moved back here to be with him. When our little daughter was born, he joked that I came back to Kent to 'Spawn' - since the only two children I ever had or will have were both conceived and born here. :) Jamy (my nickname for James) is a funny guy and keeps me laughing. I love him like I¿ve never loved anyone other than my children, and I consider myself a very lucky woman to have him in my life. But the one good thing about my disability is it does is allow me to be home with my Autistic toddler every day, all day, and focus on her growth and development. So there really is no truly BAD thing in the world - everything that happens, happens for a reason and has a silver lining in it. ....And that would be my life in a nutshell between High school and now. If you read this far - wow - your either bored or really curious. :)
