Tracy Zabelle's Story

Life Well, where to begin, I guess from right after graduation, I did not go directly to college as I had no idea what I wanted to do. So, finally in 1985, I began at Brookdale Community college, came away with a degree in motherhood, yup, you got it, I got a birthcertificate instead of a degree. My daughter is 18 years old and will graduated high school this year. She will go to culinary school. As for me, I have been working in my present job for 10 years and I love it. I am a telephone operator in a Trauma Center/Hospital. The most important things in my life are my friends and family. I have a circle of friends that I get together with often and it is nice knowing that to have a good time you can be just at home entertaining your closest friends. I look forward to my 25th reunion in 4 years, I have a lot of work to do before then. School I started my schooling in Bradley Beach elementary where I attended kindergarten and part of first grade. In first grade I transferred to Wanamassa School in Ocean Township, then on to Dow Ave school for 6th grade, after which I attended Ocean Township Junior High for 7th grade. In 1978 I moved to Florida where I went to Mebane Middle School for 8th grade , where won the school Spelling Bee, went to the county-wide spelling bee where my nerves got the best of me and I came in 15th in the county. I went to High School at Santa Fe High Sch...Expand for more
ool for my 9th and 10th grade years. In 1981 I returned to New Jersey to attend Asbury Park High School for my remaining two years of high school. I was very active in music programs throughout my schooling playing many different musical instruments as well as singing in chorus. Most memorable to me was my Senior Prom, where I had a great time with my date whom to this day I still am in contact with. My 20 year reunion was a blast, look for the new and improved Tracy at the 25 year! College Well,I wish I was able to finish college when I wanted to , but instead, I became a mom, and believe me, that is an accomplishment that I am glad I achieved. My plans are to return to college, where I was studying to be a special education teacher. This is still something I enjoy greatly, as I have been caring for an autistic boy for 7 years. If I had it to do over, I would have gone to college right out of High School and not waited 3 years. Workplace I have had many jobs since high school, ranging from cab dispatcher to home health aide,to Quality Assurance inspector at 3m Fiber Optics to Switchboard Operator at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where I am now. I also am an AVON lady, as well as still doing home care. My most rewarding job is that of a home care provider. I take care of a man who I know appreciates me even though he thinks I am there just to give him a hard time!
