Life
Well let's see....
I grew up in Strathroy and attended Southdale from Kindergarden to Grade 8. I was pretty quiet in school and probably a little weird. I had a few very close dear friends but other than that I pretty much kept to myself and read books. I attended SDCI and decided it was time to let loose, and became somewhat of a trouble maker for a few years (my parents have the grey hairs to attest to that!!). But somehow I turned myself around and attended Lambton college in the Pre-Technology program. It was alright but it really wasn't what I was passionate about. So I decided to go for it and try out the profession I'd always been interested in.....flying.
That began the most challenging chapter in my life. In July 98' I flew my first solo, in March 99 I obtained my Private Pilot License, in April 00 I was a Commercial Pilot and by August 2000 I was a Flight Instructor. Over the next 5 years I instructed a...Expand for more
t the London airport and flew aircraft deliveries for Diamond Aircraft Industries. In July 2005, I left my job at Empire Aviation and went north....very far north actually!!, to Sioux Lookout Ontario. There I flew as a Captain doing everything from flying 1500 lbs or soda pop into gravel strips, to flying charters for local politicians.
My flying has given me the opporutunity to travel all over North America. From Florida, Utah, New Brunswick, Alberta and my personal favourite Fort Severn up on Hudson bay in Polar Bear Provincial Park (brrrr!!). I was also able to meet my soon to be husband through flying, as he is also a pilot. We don't have any children but do plan on having a couple in the future...(I told him I wouldn't have any until I at least hit 30!):)
But now I'm back in Southwestern Ontario still flying and loving it, and keeping very busy planning a wedding. Hopefully it's only going to get better from here!
