Life Hi, Thanks for checkin' to see what's been keeping me out of xxxxx... After LHS, I did a tour of military service as a combat engineer - Uncle Sam did NOT get off on it. I think we both came away from the experience changed in many ways. Some of you may recall me being ever-so-slightly... twisted... or perhaps warped...not demented - but not right either. Well Uncle Sam found a way to harness my evil for good! After my unit commanders found one of my special fx pictures and totally freaked out, I was introduced to the director the theater on our base. I put my make-up skills to the test when I was selected as the head makeup artist for the next year and a half. I learned a thing or two about acting while I was at it. Then I was off to L.A. to make movies - low budget slasher flicks mostly, with another half a dozen plays (more stage make-up) thrown in for grins. In LA I learned how to play guitar, surf, do lots of xxxxs and smxx, hob-nob with the elite. What a blur. Through the grace of God I quit smokxxx & the xxxx thang just days before it killed me (check your breathing with a mirror sir?). Nothin' like cold turkey and good friends. Shortly after I got clean I was at a big L.A. St.Patrick's day bash - now remember: just say 'no', not 'what the hell'... a true test of my willpower. That's where I met my darling wife Samantha - over a Monty Python line. We were married in Las Vegas 6 weeks later, that was 16 years ago. She is the greatest... she laughs at most of my jokes, digs what I dig, is my very best friend and makes me want to be a better me. Married life took us to the beaches of San Deigo, then to Aspen Colo. I learned to ski-not very well, and snowboard. I like the latter. I was a 911 dispatcher for several years.
