Tracy's Story
I am a native Californian, raised in the Gardens area of EPA. When I attended Brentwood Oaks Elementary School, I turned myself into a ghost because my parental wisdom was dead. Having parents who did not recognize my needs absolutely terrified me. This brought on a fear within me that people would not like me. I thought that if people really knew the truth about me they would not like me. So, I left EPA when I was very young. However, I survived the turmoil! e University of California system and at 45-years old I am applying to a doctoral program to become a PhD. It took me a very long time to understand why things happened the way they happened. And, I hold no anger in my heart toward my family, friends, teachers, preachers or neighborhood parents. I do remember some people, listed on this website, who I went to school with especially "Pamela Fields" and "Leo Wright". And, I truly miss my elementary teachers Mrs. Boswell and Mrs. Jones who taught at Brentwood Oaks Elementary during the years I attended...Much love to the class of 1981!!
