Travis's Story
Life
Right after high school, my dad sent me off into the Air Force. While that wasn't what I would have chosen for myself, initially it turned out to be a positive experience for me. After 1 yr. 3 mo. I was given a "general" discharge under honorable conditions. They said it was a pattern of minor disciplinary infractions.
This began a period of my life where I was homeless off and on for almost 10 yrs. I had some pretty crazy "adventures" you could say and met some "interesting" people during that time of my life.
Well, now I am a single dad with one daughter. My ex-wife has no legal responsibilities to my daughter so there are no hassles. I treat her as a friend and we get along quite well.

of my parents. While this was difficult, it has made me stronger.
I love being a dad and care deeply about my friends.
College
This is the first school I went to after High School. I had been hitch-hiking across Texas and found a town I wanted to stay in. I figured the best way to get going professionally was to get some education since the military hadn't prepared me very well for "normal" life.
I learned about computer repair and soon after graduating, I got a job working for Motorola doing some technician work.
Now, I'm back in Vancouver and going to Clark College. I have finished with two AAS degrees in computers and networking and I'll be continuing on with EWU through Clark to get my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
