Trent's Story
I’m a completely different person than I was in elementary school (gender identity included), but I’ve stayed the same in a lot of ways. I’ve continued to pursue my interest in animals, health, and taking care of others. I actually got my childcare certifications and now work as a full time in home nanny.
After CA, I went to Ford Middle School, then Franklin Pierce High School until halfway through sophomore senior year before going to Insight School of Washington, where I graduated 3 months early.
Since school, I’ve gone from living with my mom, to being homeless, to renting rooms at multiple houses which all ended poorly and toxically. Now, I’m living in Tacoma in my own apartmen...Expand for more
t with my partner and our 4 cats. I spend most of my time working, keeping up with my apartment and my animals, but when I’m not busy with those things, I like to spend time with my friends (I’m still in touch with quite a few people from throughout school) and my partner, go shopping, cook/bake and binge watch my favorite movies and tv shows.
If you had asked me in elementary school where I thought I’d be when I was 21, I probably would have said something like being a marine biologist or living in a cool house or something. But I definitely wouldn’t have said anything like where I am now.
I hope to reconnect with lots of you that have fallen off and see how all of you are doing.
