Trevis's Story

Life A little about me...My self summary I have a high level of curiosity. Yet most of my energy is directed primarily inward, rather than outward. I am social yet also very reflective and introspective. I'm no longer a shy, timid person. I like to be around people, but too much interaction drains my energy. I need to retreat occasionally in order to recharge my batteries. I am open, honest and personable. I hate hidden secrets, as I view them as invisible chains of bondage. Most men view my petite exterior and instantly go into protective overdrive. Unfortunately, this is an extreme turnoff to me. I need room to breathe a little. I love cerebral people that love learning and have varied interests. Yes, I know this sounds simplistic but I'm actually a simple gal. My formative years have taught me to be open minded regarding new ideas and opinions yet I am mostly traditional in my moral views. Different people bring out extremely different sides of my personality. I can be extremely bohemian and laid back, yet equally enjoy those "Barbie doll" days. I can be extremely serious with one person yet light and open hearted with another. I also appreciate some serious bouts of pure silliness. ely. My tastes in music and literature vary the spectrum of genre. India Arie and Michael Franks always lift my spirits. Phil Collins, Wynton Marsalis, James Blunt, Gypsy Kings, Sting and most Soul/R&B/Gospel artists nurture my spirit. Classical music is reserved for those deep moments of quiet reflection or when I need a quick jolt of energy. Right now, I am working on reading Zora Neale Hurston's "Complete Stories". I also look to the Bible as my daily source of nourishment. Currently, I am home on temp. disability. I ended up with terrible daily headaches/migraines from a near fatal car accident. My angels were working overtime on that day! God is good. I am recovering and am hopeful that the headaches will resolve over time. Did HU produce any world class neurologists??? If so give a sister a call. In the meantime I will continue to complete my educational goals. It is harder to study when your head hurts and the kids are as loud and expressive as mine, but I'm determined. Every day is a blessing! I've actually seen a few old friends locally. Call or email me so that we can catch up and trade some war and accomplishment stories from our lives. I'm not in hiding so its not hard to find a sister. I love to chat so if I missed anything... well, just ask! Until then, Many blessings and much love in your lives!
