Trinidad's Story
Hello Everyone!
After high school I enrolled in college and worked full time. On top of that I was pursuing my dreams in show business. I did very well for myself. Working steady, booking shows at the Comedy Store and doing some modeling on the side. As the time flew by, I started to wonder if this is what I really wanted out of life. I had to ask myself if this would bring me true hapiness within. The answer was a big fat "no". So I decided to return to Temecula and focus on what mattered most in my heart. I landed a position at Temecula Valley Unified School District. For a few years, I dedicated myself to working in the Adaptive Behavior Analysis program to improve the lives of children with autism. As rewarding as this was, I also found it to be exhausting. With as much as I love children, not having any of my own, I still wanted to give back to the community and work with children. For the last five years I have had the privilege of being a full time staff member at Great Oak High School working in the field of technology. Not only do I get to work with computers and children (okay- young adults!) but I have to say that...Expand for more
in the twenty plus years of employment in various fields that Great Oak is by far the best! I recently adopted a puppy. His name is Toby and he is sooo sweet that I could eat him with a spoon! He is a Sheltie/Mini Aussie Shepherd mix. Since I don't have kids of my own, I always thought that the one bright side was that I wouldn't have to deal with poop or puke! Boy was I fooled! He is always discovering something new and exciting and is whip-smart when it comes to learning new tricks. I have started training him myself in agility since his breed is pre-disposed for it. I think I am turning into a "stage-mom"!! Besides working full time, I have also created a photography business on the side called Gallopix Fine Photography. I started out doing equestrian portfolios for clients which branched out to other areas of the medium such as portraits, weddings, special events, etc. I am also an avid crusader in the fight against cancer. Each year I dedicate myself to an event called Relay For Life. It's awesome to see the results of what you do really can make a difference. Life is good and I am truly blessed to have found happiness.
