Troy's Story
Life
After Graduation from Parkway South I went into JR College at St. Louis Community College with plans of being a history teacher. I ended up taking a criminal justice class and fell in love with being a cop. I changed my major and received an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. Went to the St. Charles Police academy where I graduated and worked as a reserve officer in Ellisville before landing the big job in Hannibal Missouri. a short time later which would become my new wife, Dawn. Who had a daughter, Caitlin, by her first husband. I have since adopted Caitlin and in the same time frame received full custody of my son. I worked with the Hannibal Police Department for approximately 14 years as a street cop and as a Detective. I finally decided I wanted to get closer to home (St. Louis, Mo) where my family and friends were and as a family we decided I should look for a job in the St. Louis area. Thus back in November of 2007 I took a job with the Sunset Hills Police Department and have been with them since.
