Biography
Tyrone E. Wise, Sr., PhD
The Lord began His physical calling of Dr. & Elder Tyrone Eugene Wise, Sr. when he was born on February 6, 1959 in Houston, Texas. God called him, as we know, even before he was formed in his motherÂs womb to be a powerful teacher of GodÂs Word.
He has been a member of The Church of the Living God, The Pillar and Ground of the Truth since 1976 and in the past 29 years, has given his time and talents to this church as the Superintendent of Sunday School, President of The UsherÂs Board, President of The Choir, Teacher, Deacon (also serving as Chairman), District Chairman of The Deacons and Brotherhood, District Trainer (Family relations & Leadership), Minister, Elder and now becomes a Pastor.
Tyrone and his wife Susie have been married since 1979 and have two sons, Tyrone E. Wise, II and Jesse Christopher Wise.
As part of his employment background in the secular community, Elder Wise served as a Correctional Peace Officer with the California Youth Authority holding positions as a Senior Youth Correctional Counselor, Trainer, and Supervisory Vice President of the California Peace Officers Association. His extensive educational background includes AA degrees in Criminal Justice and Biblical Studies, Bachelors Degree in Theology, his Masters in Christian Education and, most recently, his Doctorate in Christian Counseling from the Sacramento Theological Seminary and Bible College. He was also appointed as Professor with the Sacramento Theological Seminary and Bible College in the areas of Eschatology & The Gospels. He is also a certified gang investigator, certified training specialist, and a certified Red Cross trainer on Infectious Disease and blood borne pathogens.
Honors received include: National Deans list, Honors graduate from Delta College, Student of The Year Bachelors Class of 2001, Student of The Year Masters Class 2002 & 2003, Doctorate Class of 2005, Valedictorian of The Doctorate Class of 2003 & 2005, and Top Academic student in 2005, all from Sacramento Theological Seminary and Bible College.
His hobbies and special interests include Biblical research, golf, baseball/softball, bowling, football, basketball, computers, various technological systems and devices, outreach ministries (Christian Motorcycle Club), and singing.
