Life - Time to update I'm still happily living in the mountains of Virginia on the edge of the National Forest teaching Middle School Language Arts and am the Department Chair and lead county wide curriculum leader for our school. I have a little farm where I raise pygmy goats and am working on learning to train my Border Collie to herd (that's an experience - makes middle school seem easy) I now have three horses (because they're like potato chips and you can't have just one), five dogs (same as horses), five cats (more like fleas) and am surrounded by various sundry wildlife. I had a bear move in for a few days a couple of years back... pretty bizarre and scary to tell the truth - but I still had to call in to work for a sub because I couldn't get out of the house eventually I learned that firecrackers will scare them away.
