Valerie's Story

When I left The Dalles, I went to nursing school in Portland. Because it had the most job opportunities, I ended up staying! I met my husband here, but after 25 years of marriage, got divorced. I'm happily retired and stay busy with friends. My son lives nearby, with his wife, but they don't have children, so I don't get to be a grandmother! (Darn) I love t...Expand for more
o travel and do a fair amount of it, through a dragon boat club. I live on the Willamette River, so it made sense to get into paddling a big dragon boat. We race in many parts of the U.S. and I even went to a world championship race in Australia! I just happened upon this site, somehow, and decided to check in and see if any of my classmates are on it too.
