Valerie's Story
Hi all or should I say ya'll?
Oddly enough, I became an attorney. I also married one. Had a fabulous daughter who is now 20, and divorced the attorney after the perfunctory 7 years of marriage. I live in Miami. I have my own law firm (Valerie Tompkins, P.A.) and engage in family, probate and commercial law. My office is not conventional--it suits me, not to always be suited.
In my limited free time, I enjoy volleyball, sailing, yoga, horseback riding, biking and walking.
I remember my time at Santa Fe fondly, the oh so sweet nuns-NOT! The forever hungover Irish priest who taught theology. I actually liked him. The best part however, were my friends who unconditionally cared for and about me. Love the lunches under the trees. The birds, not so much.

016 Update:
No surprise that my daughter is now 26. However, she got married last year -- beach sunset wedding with a tornado touching down about a half a mile away the morning of-- they say a storm on the wedding day is a good sign---I certainly hope so. She is in a school counseling master's program; making straight As. She is extremely busy! She is also a "home loaner", as she puts it.
I am now a magistrate presiding over child support matters. I love trying to get money for children and helping their fathers find employment or earn more money in their own businesses. It is challenging and rewarding. I do my best every day.
Personally I am continuing my journey to evolve into my best self. Hope your journeys are taking you to the place that is in your highest good.
Let's make the world a better place. It is better to have tried and failed then to have not tried at all.
