Vanessa's Story
Life
I was not very popular at Chesapeake, so I'm not sure who would remember me. After high school, I began working at mostly labor type jobs. I married, had a daughter and became unemployed for the first 18 mos. of her life. I separated, dated casually and then made a full time committment to 10 years of being a single working mom. I loved being with my daughter and raising her alone. She is now in the Air Force and I am very proud.
I finally married again and plan to stay that way to this one. I work full time until this September when my company will be moving the section I work for to Texas. I will not be following them. So, at 40 I get to once again, start again. Maybe this ...Expand for more
time I'll get to do something I really "want" to do. (wink) I no longer have my size 1 from my high school days, but I do still have my trademark thick,"almost-black" hair. Only now, unlike in high school....it's half way down my back! Most of the kids I knew in school thought I was crazy but I was just trying to get them to pay attention to me. My best friend was Tonja Pirkle and my favorite hangout was the Pasadena roller-rink. I could be found there most Friday and Saturday nights...but mostly dancing and not much skating! Oh...I used to smoke too...but found my way away from that habit. Well, that's all I can think of for now. Does anyone remember me from that little bit of info?
