Verna's Story
Life
We have a his, mine and ours family; a total of 7 kids. All seven are now married and doing very well! We have 18 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. I retired from the Air Force in October 1995; since then I have been a system engineer/project coordinator/technical writer. Now, I am a Proposal Manager, my employer is Peraton Inc. I have been with the company for 25 years. We have a beautiful house in Dale City, Virginia. Curt is retired, but works part time with our son who owns his own business. Eventually, we plan to move to our home in Cape Cod, Massachusetts -- never to move again! I still love to bowl; we bowl in a league...Expand for more
locally and I compete in the Women's National Bowling Championships each year. My summer's are spent watching my husband play softball and baseball; laying around our pool, or laying on a beach. I still love to crochet, scrapbook, and take pictures. Most of all, I love being around my kids and grandchildren. What a wonderful blessing they are for us. We travel whenever possible; we love going different places. I love coming home to visit family and friends. My brother, Skip, lives in St. Charles; my sister, Teri, lives in St. Louis, my sister, Cheri is in Ohio, my sister, Donna is in Florida, and my brother, Rocky, is still in Montana.
