I attended PV school on Monument, *funny how you never forget things like that : ). I was there from grade-K to grade 5, I loved all the kids I went to school with. I loved my favorite teachers too: Miss. Virginia Dahl, 3rd grade, Mrs. Margaret Dunn, grade 4, I had Ms. Donagan for 5th, she would help me with work, and I always remembered she smelled of celery & cigarettes : ) she was nicer than she has reputation for, she was firm and we learned a lot. Those years flew by so fast! I walked to and from school, now it seems everyone drives their kids to school--including myself. I was always in GIrl Scouts too. I loved it! now that's a nerdy thing to do, but back then it seemed cool, of course that was my innocent view of the world. Mr Butler was our principle, he appeared in all our group pictures. My parents were not real good about ordering or keeping my class pix, etc, so I haven't not a one. SO IF ANYONE HAS ANY OLD CLASS PIX I"D LOVE TO SEE THEM!!! REALLY!! DOES ANYONE REMEMBER THE OPEN HOUSE NIGHTS? in the fall, cool nights, popcorn in the cafeteria and cake and cocoa? showing your parents with pride, your desk and your room and your teacher....so fun!
