Life is not about how many breaths we take, but about how many moments that take our breath away...

"March to the beat of your own purring"... Making this a better world, one purr at a time. Sylvester the Tuxedo Cat (on Facebook, my cat persona)".
More about Vicki:"I am an artist first and foremost and view the world and people through rose-colored glasses.
I love to write, especially about past critters and cats I have known and loved. I am an avid wildlife lover.
I sold my first painting to a children's specialty store 36 years ago. I have sold them in stores in Colombia when I lived there in the 1970s. In the 1980s I designed for Kappy Originals, a crewel and needlepoint designer and store and some of my designs made it into The Stitchery catalogue as...Expand for more
a result. At present, I am designing custom bracelets and jewelry for my clients. I also recently began to market my jewelry through a jewelry store in Maryland. The owner saw one of my bracelets and had to have one, custom made for her. I have an Etsy.com shop called Morningstarworks. I have studied greeting card design at the School of Visual Arts in NY and took classes at the Yard School of Art in NJ as a child. I have always loved to draw, and Walt Disney was my inspiration.
No surprise that both of our daughters are artists.
I love to laugh.
I always seem to see to see the good in others.
Animals Are People Too:
I have loved animals since childhood. I am the "Go to" person in my neighborhood for an animal in need. I have rescued numerous baby animals and have raised many, including robins, sparrows and a squirrel. I take them to the wildlife center so they can bond with their own kind and be released into the wild. This is always heartbreaking but is the right thing to do. If you find a baby bird, always call your local wildlife center. Rule of thumb: warm it up first and foremost while you are in transit to the center. If you attempt to feed a wild thing, without warming it up, it could die. Never give a baby bird water, it could drown. Mama bird is usually around a hopping baby bird so watch carefully and let it be. I believe that fur is to warm an animal not for us to wear. I support the humane treatment of animals everywhere.".
