Vicki's Story
Well, you all probably remember if (if you remember me at all) as one of the "weird kids". Haven't changed much. Still weird. Just weird and gray haired now. LOL.
I always wanted to be a dancer, so I went to Sullins college on a scholarshhip and on to the University of Oklahoma, where I majored in dance and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, which now hangs on my wall and collects dust. I learned photography and did dance photography for a while. A couple of my things are in the Lincoln Center Archives.
I got married and settled down. So I lived in Norman, OK and then OKC for 17 years, and then got divorced and moved to Colorado Springs to be near my parents, who had retired to New Mexico from SC. Lost my mom to lung cancer in 1990. Dad remarried and still lives in Cimarron, NM, where the Boy Scout ranch is located.
I trained as a paralegal and worked in the field for 10 years. I now manage a chiropractic office.
I'd REALLY love to find Bill Taylor, who was in the Class of 1969. I'd love to see what he's been up to.

on is restoring my 1895 Victorian folk cottage to it's former grandeur. My SO says we have a Victorian Folk Cottage with delusions of Queen Annedom. It's tiny, but it's ours. We've repainted and stripped out the old nasty carpet to find original fir floors in fairly good condition. We've made authentic Victorian curtains (and wasn't THAT a nightmare) and done a cosmetic update on the kitchen. Personally I think we need to tear out the whole kitchen and do a total remodel, but in this economy, that's not likely.
Have a house full of cats and books. 3 cats inside, LOTS of cats outside as I feed the ferals and strays. Books everywhere. ON the tables, in bookcases and in stacks on the floor.
I did try my hand at writing a novel and scared myself silly. My SO and I penned a fantasy novel and entered it into the Colorado Gold writing competition something like 8 years ago. We ended up in the semi-finals as one of the top 6 out of 100 manuscripts. Freaked me out bigtime and I haven't written much on it since. Success is WAYYYYY scarier than failure. LOL.
