Vicki's Story
Life
It's amazing that all this time has passed us by. It doesn't seem like 15 years since high school. Anyway, since we got out of high school, a lot of things have happened. I graduated from Augustana College in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Before graduating, I married my high school sweetheard, Bob Heskett, in August of 1995. We bought our first house earlier that year in Blue Grass. We also acquired our first dog, Cari, who is still with us today! hired as a 5th grade teacher at Hayes Elementary School in Davenport. I spent three years at Hayes before moving with my kids to 6th grade at Smart Intermediate School. This year is my 5th year at Smart teaching Social Studies and Language Arts to 6th graders, and I love it. Bob and I do have a son, Caleb, who was born in 2003. He is the love and passion of our lives. It's amazing how one small being can change a life forever, and that is just what Caleb has done for us. We are living in Blue Grass, Iowa (just can't seem to leave!) and loving every minute of it.
