I was born and raised my first 17 years in Illinois. My parents found out my cousin, who lived in Tucson, was diagnosed with cancer, so we relocated to Willcox. Your senior year is not the year to move as you do not have time to develop lasting memories or quality friendships in one short year before departing for college. I went on to college to study boys and had to return later, after married and one child, to get a real degree in education. Two things I swore I would never do was have a child or become a teacher. Never profess never! I enjoyed teaching in Willcox, completing my master's degree, and ensuring my son was able to spend all 13 years of his school career in Willcox.
