Vicky's Story
Life
I finally got married in 2004, after being with my boyfriend,B.J. for 13 yrs! My name is Vicky McDevitt now. I live in Hartland,MI with my husband B.J. and our cat, Max. We have a hobby we both share called Geocaching.(it's treasure hunting done with a GPS-that's what i'm doing in my profile pic) It has a website devoted to it-geocaching.com. We both have geocaches. My geocache is in South Lyon off of the rail trail. It's called, "Welcome to the Jungle":)
School
Mr. Sparrow inspired me the most. He was a very good teacher. He was my government teacher, senior year. If I could do it all over I wouldn't! Highschool has changed so much now! Craziest moment was standing in the smoking area outside in 10th grade while signs of Please Don't Feed the Animals and hay was all around us!
College
I went to a Travel School in Kissimmee,Fla and had a blast.It was in Nov.1985 thru Dec.1985. We would hang out at this place called Alligator Alley and meet and drink beers and socialize. I met some Southern Bells and a Debutante and they taught me about Long Island Ice-Teas.:)I made fri...Expand for more
ends on the plane ride down there.There were some all nighters with daytime wearing of cheap sunglasses but I graduated and it was a blast. I even got to see a Space Shuttle taking off. Maybe someday I'll retire in FLA. Also, back in 1993-1994 I took a home study course from the North American School Of Conservation. I studied Wildlife and Forestry Conservation. I earned my diploma in 1994 but never did anything with that which I regret because I am still passionate about wildlife and still donate to wildlife federations. Everything has to do with my survival now and money now:( Bummer!
Workplace
Started at fastfood. I then progressed to Southeastern Academy in Kissimmee,Fla for travel industry training,had a job at a rent-a car in Miami,came back to MI and got different jobs in hotel and car rental.I met my husband in 1991,while working at Aames Dept. store. We were building the crafts dept.(used to be in Howell).Worked suppling the military with gunscopes for a few yrs in Wixom, Now, I work for a hospital supply in Howell,MI. I
inspect and package I.V. dressings for hospitals.
