Victoria's Story

Hi everyone, New Update Jan. 26th, 2009. New pics. Well it's hard getting use to being back almost one year at the house I was raised in. Came out Jan 24, 2008 to take care of my Mother who passed April 27th, 2008. Everything is different in Whittier, changed so much. I do adapt to change pretty well and I am going to stay. Thank God I get to travel up to WA, where my husband and I each own a home we rent out. Drive 4 hours to Vegas quite a bit to see shows and play. Hoping to take a cruise this summer. Thinking about getting my goals accomplished again now that I am feeling better after all the illness's I have had after my Mother's death. It took a heavy toll on me. Stress will kill you, so now I am learning to let go and move on and now I do not get so excited when things go wrong. 2009 is going to be better no matter what challenges I will face this year. Looking for friends in the area so if any of my classmates want to keep in touch let me know. I really don't know any of the people who live in Whittier now. Seems everyone is gone, moved away just like I did to Seattle 24 years ago. My husband loves the weather, new to earthquakes, but wants to stay has a great job with no travel time at all 9 minutes to work. Love the Swap meet with the live music, beaches, disneyland, ect. He's a big kid at heart, loves rollercoasters. We enjoy each other and have so much love and respect for each other, I am so glad God sent him to me. The beginning last Jan. 2008. Just a quick note. I moved back to CA. My Mother had a major stroke at 84 years old and I had to leave WA State when I have been living for 24 years. ...Expand for more
My daughters are living in my home in WA. One is 19 the other is 21. I now live on Newgate Ave. where my mom's home has been since 1951. By Candlewood Burgers. I had to leave my job and come down to CA to care for my Mother at home. She had other illness'es that she never told me about, she was a strong willed lady. Very independent. Wanted to live alone. I would say later on in her life a recluse of sorts. I would of been back a year before if she would of been honest with me about her illness's, I was unaware at the time, bedsides her stroke. I became a full time caregiver. I am saddened to say she passed away April 27th 2008 at home. I remained here to take care of everything and I am staying here. It's hard to believe that I am in the same house I was raised in. My life now is in CA and I am happy. I will be getting married on August 2, 2008 to the man in the picture with me last year in Vegas 2007. We are returning to Vegas to marry. He also came down here with me to care for my Mom and do all repairs on her home that she has wanted for many years. He got a wonderful job down here and loves it. I still travel to WA quite a bit to visit my kids, and they come down here. I'm glad to be home. Please keep in touch. God be with you. I always wanted to be something when I grew up. My family and friends thought I had to have things my way most of the time, and very independent. I guess they were right. As it turns out, they were right and wrong, lol<lol. Can anyone else here be brutally honest. Actually some classmates thought I was kind and nice, but other's, I don't know what their trip was..God bless all.
