Vikki's Story
Hello to all my old friends and class mates,
It's amazing how fast 33 years go by, and how little some things change. Life in Wells goes on at a somewhat slower pace than it did when we were growing up, and downtown has changed so much since the earthquake. It is very sad to see the destruction caused by a mere 45 seconds of ground shaking. I say mere, but for those of us that were caught in it, it seemed like it went on forever.
I smile remembering all the mornings that I sat in the hall of the high school, resting my back against the wall to the auditorium and how many other kids were doing the same thing, come to find out, that wall was only four inches thick. One brick was knocked out of that wall. One lonely brick. Four inches of brick and mortar holding the weight of the world. At least our small corner of it.
Okay, on to other things.
Most of you know I married Randy Dedman, we just celebrated our 31st anniversary. We have two sons, Ron, 30, and RJay, 26. We have a granddaughter, Jaden, 13, and a grandson, Lars, 8.
These are Ron's children. We also have various grandpuppies, grandcats and even some grandhedgehogs.

o, the Lucky J Casinos in both Wells and Winnemucca and is, at this moment, getting the Love's Casino going.
For the last 25 years he has been the Fire Chief. I'm sure some of you are shocked that he turned out so well. He did like to party during his high school years, but like most everyone does, he grew up. He turned into the nicest, smartest, most generous man I have ever known.
He makes sure I laugh everyday.
As for me, I retired, in 2003, from the 4-Way Truck Stop. I stayed home for a few months, then started to go a little stir crazy. I also now work, part time, for the Four Way Casino. I work nights, which is good for me because I don't sleep all that well at night, and I still get to spend all afternoon and evening with Randy.
All in all...we have a very good, warm, happy life.
I am living a life that makes me very content, which is what I wish for all of you.
To all of you that made it to the, "All Classes Reunion", it was a pleasure to see you. To those of you that couldn't make it, you were sorely missed.
