Vincent's Story

Man of faith, honest, persevere, fun, funny, work hard I always wanted to be a singer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a bad idea. As it turns out, they were right and wrong.Right most people get payed little but singing can give people an up lift. Me as a singer can inspire friends families and fans to except the Lord Jesus in their hearts.Money is such a small part of singing. I will pray to Jesus for forgiveness, wisdom, Stregth.Read the Word. Walk sometime 20 miles, Excercise I wasn't much at doing wild things. In Camden Elementary School in New York. I liked to sing. I would get up in front of class and sing and during an assembly I would sing( solo) to the school. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have Father, Son, and Holy to be able to deal with the day-to-day. Now I do volinteer work. I help with the homeless. I need to pray always before I start any project. I read the Bible the first thing in the morning to get my focus. The Holy Spirit guides me in the direction I need to go. My Hero is Jesus. He payed the ultimate sacrafice on the cross.I want to let others know what He did and that we are able to come be for the Throne of God by asking Jesus for forgivness, He will take us Home with Him some day. I was born in Anchorage, Alaska on the Air Force Base lived there 6 months. Moved into a rental house in Stanwix, New York when I was 1 years old( 1952). from there my dad wanted to buy a house he could make into a dream house,I was 2( 1953) when we moved into Camden, New York which turned out to be a bigger challage than he expected. Dad said that before he finished one project something else popped up which took his time and money. He never got to finish what he started. Dad got emphazima. We moved to Garden Grove California when I was 14( 1965) years old. When I got married My wife and I moved(1980) to Costa Mesa, California. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Fred Lewis, because before my family and I left to California. Fred and I were friends . I mean close friends. He was a great guy. I like lost because their is no answer and no end it just keeps going also I like Dancing with the stars, V, Politic Shows McGlauphlyn Group, Sports my and we put our whippet in dog obdience, in the Winter Olympics we watched ice skating, skiing, My wife had a service dog she was a great help to my wife. The biggest surprise when I was put on Social Security Disability. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel make the counter tops lower so they are easier for my wife to reach and add on a make the doorway wider so they are easier for my wife to go through with her chair. My dream home would be would be wheelchair excessable. The only kid I ever had was our animals and we loved just as much. The teacher I would like to see again is my Kindigarden Teacher. She was like a grandma to me. If I won $100 million dollars I would slit it up in small amounts. I would like to donate much of it to the church to provide shelter and food for the homeless.give to MS society, Cancer reseach, Friedreix research, Dog Adoption, Feed Homless Children etc. Never lived in a dorm. I was never rich enough. To me True Happiness is knowing Jesus. A true relationship. People say you use Jesus as a crutch. They obviously haven't read where Jesus said " Come unto me who are we and heavy laden and I will give you rest". Those people must of skipped that verse or they had to go to the bathroom when a reader read that verse. I am now 59 years old. when I was 12 Ithought that as I got older life would be cold and dry. I am to busy to be cold and cry. I find it exciting to meet and talk to children and gradchildren of people I know and use to know. I am working hard to keep from walking the streets. I volinteer. no carreer aspirations. My first crush I was 6 years old. I kept eyeing this girl all over the room. She told me to stop it but I was not able to, I asked to eat lunch with me, she ate with Dave.I think I threw her into his arms. My best friend would tell you I work hard, thoughtful, friendly, patient.People who don't know me well call me lazy. when I took care of my best friend's father in law, his father in law liked me because I took my time did push him, talked to him, I looked him in the eye an comunicated with him. When I worked with multiple nurses and have lots of patients, I forget, get rushed, even get lost in the room. I use to dress to make people smile. bright clothes cheerful colors when I had hair I combed it but now a days I lounge around in my night clothes dark drab looking clothes. I started shaving my head ten years ago. I scare some people but my hair don't get in my face. I had lazik eye surgery in 1998 which made it that in didn't need glasses even to read put with cataract surgery and retinal dettachment surgery I wear glasses only to read. My weirdest Job was in ...Expand for more
1973 I went to try out for a cleaning job. Their was two of us to tryout for the same job so the guy took us to a business office and I lost competition I thought O'boy it's happening again, but the guy told me that at ITT Canon that some of his men there were moving shelves for me to go and I made $.60 more an hour.Than the guy who won the job lasted for six months. I moved away from my partents house in 1972, I was single shared an apartment with 6 able body guys we would really make a big mess the girls would come in and laugh and try to clean up a bit.I got along well with my roomates. In 1974 a guy who was disabled he had cerebal palsy. He came to the house and asked me to be his attendent so I started to learn to clean, dust, wash floors and have more of a scheduled day.In 1976 my wife moves in after we got married and she was so sick and I got so disarray an confused. Now though she is doing well and I would not trade her for anybody but Jesus who is coming back soon. I never thought I would suceed in anything in my life. One day my wife and I decided to put our Whippet ( medium size race dog) in dog obdience.Do Obdience has three levels Noviece, Open, Utility each step is harder and more off leash work with and minimum score 175 a maximum of 200. Our trainer and our friends in dog obdience said even if you get around 170's (which is just passing)at least you will get a title. Donavan ( our Whippet) I think was listening to them. When we were competeing each time we heeled in the ring he got better sometimes we had run off where we tied with another dog then we had to heel a second time while the other dogs weren't as good the second time Donavan got better. My wife was the manager and I worked with the dog. In noviece we got between 187 to 198 in open 183 t0 190 and utility 179 to 188 which we were thrilled our trainer, didn't think he could get utility title, not only did he get utility title he had points toward his (Outch) this is the most prestigious title in dog obdience.I hope you can follow what am saying I am not a writter,I am doing more writting more now th I ever did Except in school. College (OCC) was an other sucessful endeavor. In Rancho I barely passed at Orange Coast College I was put on the Dean list one year and grad with 342. I would of been more accertive in Jr. High and High School. In ten years I would like to be alive sharing the LOve and grace of my Lord Jesus Christ My oldest friend is my wife we met because her mother was sick and dieing of cancer. Kathy my wife need a place to stay and her roomates weren't helping her, she need to crawl to get to her food and her seizures were out of control. Her father was to busy. The pastor who came over to our little group to give bible studies knew Kathy and her problems, he took her to Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa to meet everyone, we scared her because of the wheelchairs she was in the denial stage she needed help and that she was disabled. I didn't see her for 3 months she ended up in a hospital and would have ended up in a convelesent home she was not able to take care of herself after her mother died. The pastor brought her over to our group Glass Moutain Inn.To live moved in to an apartment two apartments down from me.At that point their was know one to watch her during the night so I was with her at night until an attent was found for her.The women who started indepent living( Glass Moutain) was Gennie, she put her own money down to an open apartment and would get kids out of convelscent homes and out of their parents houses into independent living with an attendent. When Kathy and I left she had 8 apartments handicapped people 4 in each apartment and 15 to 20 attendence. Attendence is what now is called caregivers. Our Pastor got donations from the Church. He got 3 freezers and 3 refrigeraters, 1 more van food and furnature. Kathy and I got married in the bible study and had our honey 2 doors down from our apartment because the landlord had to renovate our apartment. We do things we like to do together. We click because we have Jesus in our hearts. Our focus is on Him. I am pretty much the same but like on retirement. Being on disability My first job was when I first moved out here (1965)from New York.I helped my uncle clean 2 banks and 2 business. It lasted 2 or 3 months, it was the first time I paid for my own clothes for school and school supplies. Childhood memory is when I first came to California (1965) style of clothes, design of School buildings where diffant, homes so close my proprety back east was 10 acres we had such a little piece of land. Walls in homes in California were paper thin Backeast you scream all you want and you won't disturb anyone.I missed the snow and things got brown in California in Camden New York everything was so green except in the winter. I hope everyone can unstand me if not let me know.
