Violet's Story
Life
I left school in grade ten. Took hairdressing, got married and had three children. We moved about a hundred times. Divorced after twenty years and after some travel and work overseas I went to Peru and remarried and now live at the west coast. Just bought a house and have an awesome husband and seven grandchildren. Still love traveling and do lots of it. Learning spanish and salsa dancing. Trying to figure out how to operate my computer without taking classes. As soon as I do I intend to post a photo or two. Be patient........ I'll get it. I hope.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Barbara Richards, because we were best friends in school..
The most unexpected thing in my life that happened was getting divorced after twenty years. The next most suprising thing was meeting and marrying my new husband and having a very comfortable life.
My children have taught me so much but the main thing is patients and that there are other ways to solve problems besides corporal punishments.
I would love to see Mr. Burley from Central Junior High, social class. Just to let him know I really didn't have such bad nerves that I had to chew gum so I didn't break down. And that I made up the whole story because ...Expand for more
he caught me chewing gum in class and I just couldn't stomach writing more useless lines.well as my working years wind down I find myself in a very exciting place in life and not one \I thought I would ever be able to enjoy. After a 20 year marriage toa n alcoholic retirement seemed to be an unattainable goal. However God is so good.. I have been blessed with a great husband now and after 13 years of a great marriage we have 7 grandchildren and own our own home which we plan to sell in the forseeable future and buy a condo. Then we will build our dream retirement home in Peru. Yeah that's right Peru. I love it there and the people are so genuine and loving. I am counting down and can't wait. What an exciting time in life. Hope God is this good to everyone.
My best friend would tell you I'm honest, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as a trouble maker.
I am now on my three year count down to retirement. Early retirement that is. We plan to build our dream home in my husbands homeland of Peru where we will live happily ever after. Can;t wait.
My first job was at a cafe, where I got paid 3.50 an hour to waitress. What I remember most about it is I didn't know how to look busy when I wasn't..
