Virgil's Story
Life
After Hardesty, went to OU and after 6 years graduated singing opera. At University of Louisville, after 3 years working on a masters in theatre, I stayed and taught acting for another year. Moved to NY, did a little acting in both stage and TV. After waiting tables for a while I started cooking and ended up with my own catering company. After 10 years of NY I was tired and moved to Chicago. Started here cooking but after a year I help...Expand for more
ed a freind open a French Bistro. A year later I moved to Ft. Lauderdale to open two spaces there. I am back in Chicago at the bistro and planning on opening another space by the end of the year. Update: It is now 2006 and I am the national "Whiskey Professor" for Jim Beam. I now fly around the country as the bourbon expert for Jim Beam brands (Bookers, Bakers, Basil Hayden, Knob Creek, and Makers Mark) giving educational seminars on whiskey.
