Virginie's Story
Life
Hey Colonel By grads!! How do you explain all these years that have gone by? LOL ! I am married for 19 years now and a mom of 4 daughters, 11,13,17,18. Two are driving now and are just like me when I was that age-- crazy, fun years,right-- hahahaha! My husband and I own a business in the diesel power generation industry and has been in business since 1983. Another lucrative past time is flipping or renting houses. We do all the work ourselves. I've become quite handy with all of that. Our favorite hobby is our 28 ft. Bayliner cruiser (diesel-of course!)which you can see in the Ottawa, Rideau or St. Lawrence rivers. Its a party boat! Some things never change! I still ski, and all my girls are great snow-boarders, one was sponsored and was competing at slope-style competitions. We go every March break to Tremblant. Regular season is just local Ottawa hills. I have really great memories of Colonel By and hope you'll want to share some too! Write me if you visit my profile. Take care y'all.
School
Well I admit that...Expand for more
I'd like to win the contest for that Corvette, so here goes.....Mr. Carrera was my favorite teacher, even though I sucked in math, I thought he taught us like we were mature young adults rather than children and he had a great teaching style. Mr. Beatty was a well liked vice principal and I don't know anyone who didn't think he was fair and liked kids no matter how bad we were. I never got in trouble at school but all my friends did!!! Sometimes I feel like I was invisible at H.S. but I think a lot of us wanted it to be that way! Best memories were school dances with live bands, Red Hot, wasn't Pat Travers in their band? remember them! Who remembers Bryan Adams when he was just a pimply teen, I remember when he played in a band with Mark Baker and others and they played at the Gloucester fair...who remembers that? Lots of laughs, remember the guys who flooded the foyer on April fools with goldfish and all and the toilet seat on the flagpole. Well, I'm sure you could think of a few more to remind me of. Take care all
