Gail's Story
Life
I got married young but did graduate with my class - the marriage did only last 4 years but that 4 years gave my 2 wonderful sons and one lovely daughter.
Both sons are gone now but the oldest son did give me 2 beautiful grand-daughters and the oldest one will be graduating from college in a few months.
My daughter also gave me 2 beautiful grand-daughters and 1 very handsome grand-son.
Most of my younger years was spent working in the nursing field but many times with onr or two other jobs at the same time in order to keep a roof over our heads. But we did take time to go camping and fishing between shifts of work. I would come home from work at 2 in the morning and the kids would have all supplies waiting at door - load them in the car and off we went to the lake dropped slee...Expand for more
ping bags til day light - up and fishing, then back to town at 10 am in order to go back to work.
When they all grew up and left home I didn't have to work so much but did get in volved with the Veterans of Foreign wars Ladies Auxiliary and that has really kept me busy forthe rest of my life.
As a retired person now as well as my husband of 15 years we spend or free time volunteering at the VA Hospital for our hospitalised Veterans and we plan to do that as long as our health holds out.
We also enjoy the gr-grand-babies now.
I am sure I must have left something out but this it for now.
Almost forgot - I love working in my yard, about 50 rose bushes, cactus garden with over 30 different kinds of cactus - gathered while traveling here and there, and all my other beautiful flowers.
