Vivian's Story
I come from a big family of seven(four daughters and three brothers). We went to Bucknell Elementary School, then went to Bryant Intermediate School, but left in 1973 to Puerto Rico. Our parents wanted to go back to their country since they had left so long and wanted to be closer to their family.
Now my parents have died and my big sister (Evelyn) and big brother (Abner) went to live back in the states, I decided to go back also. Our big brother died eight years ago(since he had a motorcycle accident, he never was able...Expand for more
to walk again, and started having kidney failure.
I am planning to take both of my sons to see my old neighborhood again very soon. They are 25 and 18 so it will be easier for me to take them.
We lived between Mary Baldwin & Kenyon Drive and my father had done quite some jobs on both homes.
I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew uap. My family and friends thought that wa a bad idea. As it turns out, they were wrong because soon I will be accepting a position as a teacher and nobody can't take that dream away....
