W. Chris's Story
Life
As I look back on my life I see many twists and turns but still feel very blessed to have done it all. In high school dated a real sweetheart and ended up with another beautiful lady whom I have had the privilege of being married to now for almost 27 years with 1 child. I am very fortunate and Thank God for it all. Have spent my life all over. After high school spent 3 years in the Army, including a year in Viet-Nam. Then back to Kenosha where I started what turned out to be 31 years at AMC/Chrysler. In that 31 year span remet and eventually married Linda Stack whom I have now had the great pleasure of being my wife for 27 years. We spent 4 years in Orchard Park, New York before moving back to Kenosha. We have one daughter who just turned 25 and is going to be married this October, 2004. Having now retired we are just trying to enjoy life. We are both Christians and are involved in our church.Life and God have been good to us.
Well here it is 2007 and it seems life just keeps throwing darts. Both Mom and Dad died in 2006, still find it hard to believe, and this year my daughter had a miscarriage. Also my Mother-In-Law has been living with us since October 2005 when Linda's Dad died. But in it all I still have my faith, without it couldn't go on. Also the love of Family keeps me sane.
As for Linda she graduated in '68 from OCHS and
from Edinboro University in '72 with a BS degree-then went for the bulk of the summer to South America with a group, then taught school, worked for social services and also banks and corporations with the last being a computer co. Three years ago this coming Oct. her dad died, then her mom moved in with us so Linda is now Care Giver since her mom can financially but NOT physically live alone.
More twists and turns have come with our daughter and her husband trying to have their family--invitro was tried and succeeded in a pregnancy that later miscarried so now they have been accepted to go throu...Expand for more
gh the journey of becoming adoptive parents so that (we hope) does NOT bring more heartache. Only time will tell so perhaps a further update to come.
Update here it is 2013 and we have now been married 36 years this year. More heartache as our daughter were unsuccessful in their attempts to adopt a baby and have since just decided to move on with life. Linda lost her twin brother last year, 2012, another huge surprise. Her Mom is still with us at 89, 90 this year. We had to put our god of 16 years down in February of 2012 and went on for a year with just our cat Captain who will be 15 this year. In January we decided it was time for some new life in our home so we got ourselves a puppy, 7 weeks old when we got him. Coty, as we decided to call him, has added alot to our lives. He is a Cavapoo, a mix between a king Charles Spaniel and a poodle. We still, and always will, rely on our Faith to get us through all the time. Not sure how anybody can get along without it. Our daughter and son-in-law now have 2 full bread German shepherds and they ar both beautiful and must I say rather big but like babies.
Update January 2015 another year and my love continues to grow for my lovely wife Linda. We lost her Mom the last day of February 2014 in our home. We have since moved into a condo style Apartment.
And life continues it is now 2022 and we continue to live in our Condo. Both of us became sick in December of 2021 I ended up in the hospital for 2 and a half weeks missing both Christmas and New Years. I came home on Jan. 7 of this year on oxygen, 5 liters which took me till end of February to get off of now pretty much back to normal. Linda was also pretty sick during this time and ended up having a cough for 2 months. Not a good time. But again God got us through it and we are both pretty good for our age. We did lose our cat Captain in 2013 and lost our little guy Coty in 2020 a little shy of his 8th Birthday. Now just the two of us.
