goes a long way. Back in 1997 I ran for school board in our local school district. I wasn't one of the top four vote getters (there were nine candidates) so I didn't win one of the seats and I am eternally grateful for that. We also were foster parents. Had a 6 year old girl at first. After her we had two brothers. That was it after they left. Two summers ago got to go on a ride-along with the Aurora PD. Hadn't done that in a very long time. You get a real appreciation for what they encounter every day. There is never a dull moment on a shift. Very little down time. Ask me about 'the Demon". Go ahead, ask me. No, not the roller coaster ride at Great America.".
