Walter's Story
Life
My Spouse
I married Michelle Misavage. She graduated from Sharon in 1988.
I have finally completed my Masters degree and anesthesia school. I passed my boards recently and am finally able to start working again. My son is getting big. He's rapidly approaching two now and I think I'm in trouble :o) He's a maniac! If I get half of what I put my parents through back from him- I'm defitely in trouble! We do get to have fun. I can't wait until I can start taking him fishing and camping, etc. He loves to dance with me and is almost just as bad. It's a white thing I guess. I still have my two dogs, a shih-tzu and a large mutt. Hope all is well with anyone who cares enough to read this. Hopefully I'll be able to get back up to Sharon again real soon. Peace!
College
After a LONG half time intermission, I went back to college and graduated from North Carolina State University with a Zoology-Pre-med degree. You really ca...Expand for more
n't do much with this degree in the medical field so I went back to school. I went to the University of NC. In 2 years I finished a second bachelors degree-this time in nursing. Who would have thought? If you would have told me that I would be a nurse in high school-I would have denied it to the end. After graduating, I took an internship in an ICU and loved it. Much better than running steel presses in Wheatland, PA or bouncing at Tullys. Not that there's anything wrong with that! :o) I earned a masters degree in nurse anesthesia from UNC-Greensboro. I will NEVER go back to school again!!!!!
Workplace
I finally graduated anesthesia school and am currently working as a nurse anesthetist (CRNA) for a large group in the Raleigh, NC area called Critical Health Systems of NC. I will be sedating people for surgery at one of five different hospitals. It can be exciting although I do my best to keep the excitement to a minimum.
