Wanda Campbell Moody:  

Gary & I just celebrated our 52nd anniversary on June 17th.Where do all the years go? Moved to SE (Jesup) Georgia in August 1970 to live with my grandmother & aunt & to take a job at American National Bank. Married Gary Moody on June 17, 1972. We have no "hooman" children, just four legged ones, 20 cats.And we feed ferals & try to rescue them & have them spayed/neutered. I guess you could say I have a cattery since they do have their own personal living quarters. They have given me such joy & love. They love me unconditionally & they are spoiled rotten! Work During the years I have worked in banking, for the tax commissioner, & at Southern Media, a small local cable tv station in Jesup. I have worked with Southern Media since 2001 & this job has been the most fun & rewarding. The couple who own the station are my bosses & there are two other employees besides me. These 4 people have come to mean the world to me, they are my family now. In March 2008 our tv station started broadcasting on the internet.We have heard from people all over the US. I happen to be on the Rooster Show the first day it was broadcast. I was so thrilled! My sister called in from Fayette, Al and Glenda Byars, who taught at GHS and now writes a column for the Gadsden Times, also called. I felt so special to have them call in to the show. My tv name is WandaWoman. I co-host our Trader TV show with Gary. During the years, I have co-hosted several shows such as The Hen Show, the Rooster Show, The Early Show, Karaoke with WandaWoman & the KaraokeKid, BidRBuy,& Bargain Break. Gary has been helping out at the tv station since he retired from GA DOT in April of 2003 doing his own show, TraderTV on Thursday nights. Hobbies I dabble in writing with calligraphy, poetry & short stories. I love to read & to dance. I collect anything that has the name Campbell on it. I have a large collection of Campbell Kids & Campbell Soup items. I also am a big Elvis fan & have a collection of Elvis memorabilia.I probably have every song he recorded. I never got to see Elvis, but in April 2011 I attended a concert where I met someone who you would swear is Elvis. His name is Shawn Klush & he is an Elvis Tribute Artist, one of the best in the world. (Look him up on YouTube). I love playing mahjong & spend hours playing it on my computer. And of course I am on Facebook where I have reconnected with a lot of old friends & classmates & have made a lot of new friends. School The elementary schools I went to are Cory, Walnut Park, & Mitchell. Attended Disque Jr High. Graduated from Gadsden High School, Gadsden, Alabama in 1969. I am listed in the class of 1971 at Wayne County HS, Jesup, GA. I am an honorary member since Gary volunteered me to work on their reunion. Gary graduated in 1971. High school was something else! I graduated from Gadsden High-Class of 1969. My parents were very strict on us three girls and we were not allowed to participate in many activities. I was shy in school and could not get up in front of a class to do reports. I opted to write any reports I had to do. I wish I could do it all over again with the confidence I have now. Now, I can talk to an audience. I can even sing, and guess what - I'm on TV! Who would have ever thought that! My favorite teachers in school were Mr Ferris Hall and Ms Melanie (sp?) Barton. I began writing in high school. Ms Barton assigned us to write themes on such as "A bird in the hand is worth two in a bush" or something like that. I have written several poems that have been published and I have also written short stories, none that have been published. I met a lot of people in high school, some who have become very close friends who mean a lot to me. I love going to class reunions to see these friends, however, over the years, there have been many that have passed on. Although I know that I will one day see their smiling faces, I still miss them. Now I cherish each reunion I attend, knowing that some I may never see again. If I could go back to high school, do it all over again, I would do a lot of things different, I think a lot of us would. I would not let material things get in the way of getting to know a person. I never thought I was as good as some of my class...Expand for more
