Wanda's Story
Moved back to Benham (from Houston,Tx) in 1992. My daughter (Cindy) lives with me on Hemlock St.
My son (Patrick) is still in Houston. My husband who is from Cumberland originally (Raymond Humphrey) and has been in Britthaven nursing home for the past
2 years (he has Alzheimers Disease). I belong to the Benham Garden Club (charter member of the Pettico...Expand for more
at mafia) and we have just opened the old Benham jailhouse as a consignment shop. My Mother
(Irene Compton) died in August of 2006 at 97. My baby brother (John Compton) died in March of 2005.
I'm getting old (77) so I don't get around like I used to, but I am so happy that I'm back in Benham. It's
the only place in the world I've ever been truly happy.
