Wanda's Story
Life
My life since I left Lompoc High has been a fullfilling one. I left Lompoc in June of 77' to go to college in my home state of Maryland. I went to the Charles County Community College and became an LPN (Licenced Practical Nurse). In January of 1978, at a college dance, I met the love of my life, Daniel Eversberg, who was studying Marine Biology. We dated for almost 2 years, then married in December of 1979. We have 3 wonderful children. Our oldest is Robert, he's 25 yrs old, and is working on his master's, and eventually his Phd in Education, at Salisbury, on the Eastern shore of MD. My son Chris just turned 18 this month (4/4/07), and is "Mopar mad" and has taken my 73' Duster, and his father's 69' Road Runner away from us...and is preparing to race them at MIR (MD International Raceway). lans to open his own custom 'racing' garage. My daughter Amber is 14, and is the singer in the family, and is hatching plans to be on American Idol ;). I am currently working at a veteran's home in Charlotte Hall, MD. I love working with our nation's honored vets, and they are like an extended family of sorts to me. I am planning to return to college in the next year to complete my BS in nursing. My current interests are riding my Arabian horse in my spare time...HA! What spare time? ;). Growing organic veggies on our 20 acre 'mini-farm' is another pursuit that brings great satisfaction to my soul, as well as boating, and fishing on the gorgeous Chesapeake Bay, which is a rock's throw from my house. Life is good here in Maryland, but I do look back with fondness on my short 4 years in Lompoc, California. I wish all of my former classmates the best.
