Ward's Story
I graduated from Duke University n 1967. My last semester was actually spent in genetic courses New York University and from work as an operating room tech at NYU teaching Hospital. I then matriculated at NYU. It so happened that when I began there, the nameplate said âWardâ. I figured, new town, new name, and have been âWardâ ever since. 1974 still practice out of the house on East 68th Street which I lucked into while in training, and live in the same building. I have academic and medical privileges at New York/Cornell Hospital and at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Kids did not happen, but my 2 sisters live within a few blocks; my one half-sister not far away, and each have kids (total 4 ranging from 47 to 2 years old). Both of my parents lived to reasonable ages. I remain quite well (despite several medical diversions). I remarried about 2 years ago, but in the midst of that fiasco, separated in August. I am now âseeingâ a great woman (sweet, and quite an accomplished architect), now a New Yorker, but originally a Texan. I am blessed with a population of loyal patients who range from the unknown to the boldfaced.
