After Graduating from Mt Pleasant High School I joined the US Air Force. Serving 12 years in the USAF, I was stationed at: Edwards AFB CA, Beale AFB CA, Galena Airport AK, Myrtle Beach AFB CA, McChord AFB WA. I worked as an Aircraft Refueling Vehicle Mechanic, Aircraft Refueling Vehicle and Fire Truck Maintenance Shop Supervisors and/or Vehicle Maintenance Quality Assurance, with the additional duties of: Unit/Base Photographer, Unit Fitness coordinator, Unit/Base Advisory Councils and Career Advisor.
During this time I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where I served as a Stake Missionary, Ward Mission Leader, Service Men's Group Leader, and 2nd Counselor to the Elders Quorum and survived a 9 year marriage from hell that resulted in wonderful 3 kids: Tiffany, Warren II and Melonie. (who died at 8mos old, of SIDS)
After Desert Storm and during the divorce, I became a single Dad. The divorce made things uncomfortable for me at church so I stopped going for a time. Although I still Had faith and my testimony.
At this time I didn't want to be a single Dad in the service, so I left the AF and moved back to San Jose and worked at Axil Computer as a Quality Assurance Inspector for 5 years before the plant closed.
During this time I met Joy. She was my Mom's best friend and my grandma hired her to watch my kids as I worked. I wasn't looking for anyone at th...Expand for more
is time, but something bought us together. We were exact opposites. She was everything I wasn't. I guess that's why we fit so well together. It took only a little time but I fell in love with both Joy and her daughter Krystal and we came together as one big family.
But wait, Justin was born at 1lb. 12oz. After 2 months in the hospital, we bought him home at 4lbs.
I Started to work for PEP Boys as a Service Writer and 24-Hour Fitness as a Fitness Professional.
My land lord sold the house we were living in, so we bought a house in Salida. I transferred with my job, Pep Boys, to Modesto.
A year later I lost my job to downsizing and lost our home. We move to an apartment in Modesto, as I started working for In-Shape City as a Personal Trainer for 5 years.
I left In-Shape to help a friend open a personal training studio called Unlimited Physiques. After a year of setting up his business, I was told He couldn't afford me anymore and my position was eliminated.
I started working for Big 5 Sporting Goods as Manager Trainee and worked my way up to First Assistant Manager Stockton.
During this time I married Joy then Joy then started having some medical problems leading to some stress at work during the Christmas rush Season. I lost my job.
Then the missionaries started visiting. Joy fed them and it seemed they were over all the time. Joy had some questions about some misleading information she had about the Church and the Bible. This led to weekly Bible studies with the missionaries then to, Joy, just out of blue saying, "I want to get baptized!"
"I want to get baptized!" Justin said.
"I want to get baptized too!" Warren says.
Here I go, back to Church!
Soon later Krystal and her husband, Aaron, got baptized.
Now my daughter Tiffany is now going back to church.
I was called as Teachers Quorum Adviser/Varsity Scout Coach on IâÃÂÃÂm serving as the 2nd Counselor to the Elders Quorum. Joy was called as a Primary Teacher but now was released to attend a Temple Prep Class.
Now my daughter Tiffany will me starting her Temple Class.
ItâÃÂÃÂs amazing to be out of work for 2 years and still have food on or plates and a roof over our heads. We have been truly blessedâÃÂæ
