Warren's Story
Life
After graduating from Beaverton High, I attended The University of Portland for a couple of years. Entered the Air Force Reserves and spent 20 years in Air Rescue, Tactical Control and finished up as the 1st Sergeant at Headquarters - Oregon Air National Guard. In 1967, I begin a very satisfying career in criminal justice with the Washington County Sheriff's Office. In 1968, I met my career goal by joining the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office; where I worked for 33 years (building and commanding corrections facilities), retiring as a Captain in March of 2000. I have taught criminal justice classes at PCC for over 20 years and continue to teach 1-2 classes a term. In addition, since 1985 I have been operating a consulting business for criminal justice agencies (working with over 350 agencies throughout ...Expand for more
the US)and continue to serve in that capacity. I have continued with my music and play percussion in the Shrine Concert and Dance Bands. In 1971 I married my best friend and college sweetheart, Charlotte Drenkhahn (a military brat, who grew up in Libya and other interesting places with her Air Force family). She is a very active volunteer with the Portland School District and Oregon State Supreme Court. We have one son (Albert) who is a BMW Motorsports expert, working in California for the national importer. We live in St Johns, in the victorian house that my wife came home to when she was born. We enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends; and, would like to rejoin classmates to catch up on old times and enjoy some social times.
