Harry (Warren)'s Story
My story: After high school in 1959, I briefly attended the University of Virginia where I picked up the nickname "Skip". I entered active Naval service in 1961 as a Seaman. In 1965 the Navy selected me for a college scholarship; I graduated from Miami University in Ohio with a B.A. in Mathematics in 1968.
After college I resumed active naval service as a commissioned officer and retired from the Navy after 22 years as a Lieutenant Commander. In the process I took back my real first name, Harry, and continue to go by that.
As a civilian, I worked for two companies over a 15 year period doing primarily the same work for both: test and evaluation (T&E) of the TRIDENT Submarine's highly automated ...Expand for more
Integrated Radio Room. I also worked on several Computer Software Engineering projects. Today I'm "semi-retired" but continue to have a computer consultant business (helping home computer users) and maintaining several websites.
My first marriage was in 1963 to Babette "Babs" Baker also a U.D. High School graduate (1960). We were divorced in 1971 (no children). I met my present wife, Lorraine "Toni" Bottoni of San Diego in 1973. Lorraine was divorced with a daughter. We were married in 1976, and while we have had no children together we are twice grandparents now; grandsons ages 18 and 13 (summer 2009).
Today we attend 40 to 50 San Diego Padres baseball games each year and travel occasionally.
